Dear Sons and Daughters of Ogbomoso,
History is once again knocking at our door. The moment has come for us to rise—not as individuals separated by distance, profession, or status, but as one united people bound by heritage, pride, and a shared vision for the future of Ogbomosoland.
The establishment of *The Ogbomoso University, with full *NUC approval, stands as a defining project of our generation. This is not merely about erecting buildings or signing documents. It is about securing the intellectual, economic, and social future of our land. It is about empowering our children with access to quality education right here at home. It is about opening doors of opportunity and prosperity for countless families, traders, artisans, farmers, and entrepreneurs in both our towns and rural communities.
Universities are engines of development. With Ogbomoso University comes:
- Employment opportunities for our youths and professionals
- Expansion of local businesses and housing
- Improved infrastructure in rural and semi-urban areas
- Attraction of investors and development partners
- Advancement and preservation of our culture and heritage
However, this noble dream cannot be achieved without our collective sacrifice and financial commitment. NUC approval requires funds, proper facilities, qualified staffing, compliance with standards, and long-term sustainability. These are responsibilities we must shoulder together as true sons and daughters of the soil.
I therefore make a heartfelt appeal to:
- Community leaders and traditional rulers
- Professionals at home and in the diaspora
- Business owners, industrialists, and investors
- Youth associations and student bodies
- Faith-based organizations
- Farmers, traders, and market leaders
Let each person contribute according to their ability. No amount is too small. One raindrop may seem insignificant, but many together form a mighty river that can transform our land.
