Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State, has felicitated Christians across the world on the occasion of the 2025 Christmas celebration, urging them to embrace the enduring virtues of love, peace and sacrifice which the season represents, while expressing optimism for a peaceful and prosperous New Year 2026.
The Rector of the institution, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, stated this in a statement issued by the acting Director of Information, Communication and Public Relations of the institution, Mr. Sunday Adepoju.
Dr. Abdul-Hameed stresssed that the values of selflessness, humility and compassion remain essential to national cohesion and sustainable development.
He urged members of the Polytechnic community and Nigerians at large to promote peaceful coexistence, tolerance and unity.
The Rector also called on Nigerians to remain law-abiding, resilient and supportive of government policies and programmes aimed at economic recovery, enhanced security and national development, noting that collective responsibility is vital to achieving lasting progress.
“On behalf of the Chairman of the Governing Council, Hon. Yakubu Dati (fnipr), other Members of the Council, Principal Officers, Members of the Management Committee, staff and students of the Federal Polytechnic Ayede, I felicitate Christians on this year’s Christmas celebration and wish Nigerians a fulfilling, peaceful and prosperous 2026,” he said.
Dr. Abdul-Hameed further reassured the Polytechnic community of the Management’s commitment to academic excellence, institutional stability, and sustained infrastructural and human capital development in the coming year.
He stated that praying for renewed hope, good health and divine guidance for all should be the reaponsibility of all and sundry., while advising staff and students to celebrate responsibly and remain good ambassadors of the institution.
