A prominent figure of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osupa Ward 09, Ogbomoso North Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Bayo akinyode, has congratulated Muslims and Christians on the commencement of the holy seasons of Ramadan and Lent.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Akinyode described both observances as significant moments in the spiritual calendar of adherents, marked by devotion, self-denial, and renewed dedication to righteous living and national progress.
He rejoiced with residents of Ogbomoso North and Nigerians at large for witnessing the sacred periods, calling on the faithful to seize the opportunity to offer prayers for the country’s peace and prosperity.
According to him, the twin seasons present a solemn call to deepen faith, extend love to others, and seek divine guidance for the nation’s challenges.
“As Muslims and Christians embark on fasting and prayers, it is important that we remember Nigeria in our supplications. Our nation requires God’s intervention, particularly in strengthening the economy and improving security,” he stated.
He also urged citizens to pray ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing hope for a peaceful process, credible outcomes, and the emergence of leaders committed to the wellbeing of the people.
Akinyode further emphasized that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity and mutual respect.
He encouraged residents of Ogbomosoland and beyond to continue fostering harmony across religious and ethnic lines, while supporting initiatives aimed at youth empowerment and inclusive growth.
