The Khalifa of the Islamic Brotherhood of Nigeria (ISBON), Alhaji Lamidi Monsur Ayoade Ejide, has charged ISBON leaders, members and Muslims across the globe to use the sacred season of Ramadan to intensify prayers for global peace and economic prosperity.
In his message to ISBON faithful worldwide as Ramadan coincides with the Christian Lenten season, Alhaji Ejide described the period as a profound spiritual moment that demands deep reflection, renewed devotion and sincere supplication for the wellbeing of humanity.
He emphasised that beyond abstinence from food and drink, Ramadan represents a time for moral purification, compassion and collective responsibility towards building a more peaceful and economically stable world.
“This is a solemn period that calls for fervent prayers, not only for ourselves and our immediate communities, but for global peace and economic prosperity. Our world is in dire need of stability, understanding and sustainable growth,” he charged.
Alhaji Ejide urged leaders at all levels of the organisation to mobilise members towards sustained prayers and righteous conduct, noting that spiritual discipline must translate into positive impact in society.
He further encouraged Muslims everywhere to seek divine intervention for an end to conflicts, economic hardship and instability across nations, expressing optimism that through sincere prayers and unity of purpose, the world would witness greater peace, harmony and prosperity.
