The Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Ogbomoso has felicitated Muslim faithful on the joyous occasion of Eid-el-Fitri, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
The acting Rector of the institution, Dr. Azeez Olasunkanmi Ojo, who conveyed the message through the acting Director, Centre for Information, Communication and Public Relations, Mr. Sunday Adepoju, described Eid-el-Fitri as a season of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the values of peace, sacrifice, and compassion.
Dr. Ojo, who urged Muslims to pray for peace in Nigeria and in the world, also called for devotion to God, empathy towards the poor, self discipline, giving during and after Ramadan as well as abstinence from sins.
“On behalf of the Governing Council, ably led by Hon. Yakubu Dati (fnipr), other members of the Council, Management, staff and students, we heartily felicitate our Muslim brothers and sisters on this auspicious celebration. We pray that the blessings of the season bring peace, progress, and prosperity to our institution and the nation at large,” the statement read.
Dr. Ojo further noted that the institution remains committed to fostering unity, religious tolerance, and academic excellence.
He emphasised that the lessons of Ramadan—discipline, patience, and selflessness—should continue to guide interpersonal relationships and institutional growth.
Dr. Ojo also highlighted that the Polytechnic is entering a new phase of development, noting that with the selection of a new set of Principal Officers, the institution is poised for greater achievements.
He expressed confidence that the new leadership team will build on the solid foundation already laid and drive the Polytechnic toward enhanced innovation, stability, and progress.
He urged all members of the Polytechnic community to continue to support the vision of the institution and work collectively towards sustaining its growth trajectory.
The management wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration.
