The Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Ogbomoso has extended warm Easter greetings to the Christian community within the institution and across Nigeria, calling on them to imbibe the enduring lessons of the season.
In a statement issued by the institution’s spokesperson, Sunday Adepoju, the acting Rector, Dr. Azeez Olasunkanmi Ojo, emphasised the significance of Easter as a period that symbolises sacrifice, love, hope, and renewal.
Dr. Ojo urged Christians to reflect deeply on these virtues and translate them into actions that will promote peaceful coexistence and national development.
He expressed his strong belief in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and encouraged Nigerians, irrespective of religious affiliations, to continue supporting government efforts aimed at repositioning the country for sustainable growth and prosperity.
He further called on Christians, Muslims, and traditional religious adherents to remain steadfast in prayers for the peace, unity, and progress of Nigeria, noting that collective responsibility and shared values are essential for nation-building.
“Easter reminds us of the triumph of hope over despair and life over death. It is a season that calls for sober reflection and renewed commitment to the ideals of selflessness, tolerance, and unity,” the Rector stated.
“On behalf of the Governing Council led by Hon. Yakubu Dati, Management, staff, and students of the Polytechnic, I wish all Christians a joyous and fulfilling Easter celebration,” he said.
