Prince Sunday Ayoola Oyebamaiji of the Osupa Royal Family has congratulated the Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, on the successful release of the pupils and teachers who were abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
In a statement made available to journalists on Saturday, Prince Oyebamiji described the release of the victims as a great relief to their families, the affected communities and the entire people of Ogbomosoland.
He commended the Soun, governments at all levels and th security agencies for their commitment, leadership and relentless efforts in ensuring that the victims regained their freedom, noting that the monarch’s intervention demonstrated his deep concern for the safety and well-being of his subjects.
Prince Oyebamiji applauded the security agencies, the Oyo State Government, the Federal Government and all individuals who played various roles in securing the release of the abducted pupils and teachers.
According to him, the successful rescue is a pointer to what can be achieved through collaboration, determination and a shared commitment to protecting lives.
While expressing gratitude to God for preserving the lives of the victims, he prayed that the Almighty would continue to protect the Soun and grant him the wisdom and strength to lead Ogbomosoland to greater heights.
The Osupa prince further urged security agencies to sustain their efforts in tackling kidnapping and other criminal activities across the region, stressing the need for proactive measures to safeguard schools and rural communities.
He also called on residents to remain vigilant and continue to support security agencies with timely and credible information that could help prevent future security breaches.
Prince Oyebamiji prayed for the speedy recovery of the released pupils and teachers from the trauma of their pordeal and expressed hope that such unfortunate incidents would not recur in Ogbomosoland and its environs.
