Hon. Ayanwale, Kameel, empowers vulnerable residents with food, cash support in Ido LG

An Allied Peoples Movement (APM) chairmanship aspirant in Ido Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Taiwo James Ayanwale, popularly known as Kameel, has provided food items and cash support to 39 vulnerable residents in the council area as part of his grassroots empowerment initiative.
The empowerment programme took place during the APM Ido Local Government meeting held recently at the Local Court premises in Ido.
Beneficiaries, drawn from the 10 wards of the council area, received bags of rice and cash assistance to help cushion the effects of the current economic situation.
According to the organisers, 30 elderly men and women each received a bag of rice and ₦10,000, while six additional beneficiaries were also presented with a bag of rice and ₦10,000 each.
Three other residents received ₦10,000 cash support.
Addressing party members and residents, Hon. Ayanwale said his vision is to build an inclusive and people-oriented Ido Local Government Area where the welfare of residents remains a top priority.
He assured the gathering that, if elected chairman, his administration would focus on programmes that directly improve the living conditions of the people.
“Today, I must stress that the best that residents can get from leaders is people-centred leadership. Leaders are expected to be compassionate do everything possible to put smile in the led.
“If elected chairman of Ido Local Government Area, our administration will focus on programmes that directly improve the living conditions of the people,” Hon. Ayanwale stated.
The empowerment exercise was well received by party faithful and beneficiaries, many of whom described the intervention as timely.
Hon. Ayanwale noted that the initiative forms part of his ongoing community outreach efforts aimed at supporting vulnerable groups and strengthening grassroots development in Ido Local Government Area.
