The Inspector-General of Police, Dr Olukayode Egbetokun today played host to the Director General, National Crime Agency, Mr Graeme Biggar, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
According to a release signed by the force public relations officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the meeting also had in attendance the members of the Force Management Team, National Vice President of Interpol, Garba Baba Umar, and the Head of NPF-NCCC, CP Henry Uche.
During the visit, Egbetokun reflected on the already existing relationship between the Police and the UK National Crime Agency, in arrears of training, and support towards combating crimes and criminality, and also areas of bolstering the effectiveness of the Police in the fight against kidnapping and cyber-crime related offences across the country.
Similarly, the DG on behalf of the UK Government pledged continuous support to the Police Force in all areas, which include enhanced trainings and courses for officers to boost their efficiency towards curbing crimes and criminality across the country.
Egbetokun, in the release, also reiterated the commitment of his administration to engage in fruitful collaborations with relevant agencies, towards enhanced training and re-training for officers and men of the force to effectively address the challenges of policing Nigeria.
