Osun State governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola, on Friday, submitted a petition at Osun State Election Petition Tribunal to challenge victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Osun 2022 governorship election, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Oyetola, who personally signed and submitted the petition at premise of the tribunal in Osogbo, the state capital, is calling for the nullification of Adeleke’s victory due to some alleged irregularities including over voting in some local government areas.
Oyetola is also asking the tribunal to declare him the winner of July 16 Osun 2022 governorship election.
It would be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Senator Ademola Adeleke of PDP winner after satisfying requirements of the law.
