The Chairman of the House of the Representatives Committee on Youth in Parliament, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, has felicitated Muslims and all Nigerians on this year’s celebration of the Eid-el-Fitr festival.
Hon. Alao-Akala, who represents Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Abuja, called on the Nigerian youths as critical stakeholders to remain dedicated to the peace, unity and progress of the nation.
He particularly expressed his unalloyed joy in felicitating with his constituents whom, he said, are committed to the progress of the constituency and Nigeria as a whole.
In a statement by his media team, Hon. Olamijuwonlo, son of former Governor Christopher Adebayo Alao-Akala of Oyo State, sent his heartfelt felicitations to all Islamic faithful across the country and the world at large.
He emphasized the contributions of the prayers of the people in the affairs of Nigeria, adding that the period of Ramadan fasting which came to an end yesterday should remind Muslims and Nigerians of the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (SWT).
He added that Eid-el-Fitr is a time of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the values of peace and togetherness as a nation.
The statement read in part: “I sincerely felicitate our very distinguished Muslim brothers and sisters in Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr which marks the end Ramadan fasting.
“It is in recognition of the Month of Holiness that I further charge Muslims not to relent in praying for our constituency, Ogbomosoland, Oyo North Senatorial District, Oyo State, National Assembly and the country as a whole.
“I also wish to congratulate all our religious, political and traditional rulers/leaders on this great celebration.”
Alao-Akala, who called on all Muslims to continue praying for the peace, unity, and progress of the country and the success of the administration of President Bola Tinubu, said: “I charge you all to remain holy and continue supporting the government of the day in prayers. Mr President needs our prayers more than ever before, particularly in his drive towards a transformed Nigeria.”
