The acting Dean of Student Afffairs, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Dr. Adewusi Adepoju, has congratulated Prof. Rasaq Olatunde ROM Kalilu on his appointment as substantive Vice Chancellor of the University.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State recently approved the appointment of the Institution’s Professor of Art and Art Hisory, Kalilu, who had earlier funtioned in acting capacity, as substantive Vice Chancellor effective today, June 12, 2024.
Speaking to PANNIGERIANNEWS.COM in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, on Wednesday, Dr. Adepoju noted that the appointment of Prof. Kalilu was historic in the annals of LAUTECH as the first Ogbomoso indigene to be appointed in either acting or substantive capacity.
While calling on all stakeholders on LAUTECH project to cooperate with the leadership of Prof. Kalilu as an academic cum administrator of note, Dr. Adepoju charged him to see the appointment as a service to the development of LAUTECH, education sector and humanity at large.
“I want to sincerely congratulate Prof. Rasaq Olatunde ROM Kalilu, an academic and administrative icon, on his appointment as substantive Vice Chancellor of LAUTECH, taking effect today, June 12, 2024.
“As you transited from Acting Vice Chancellor to being a substansive Vice Chancellor of our great LAUTECH, I wish you resounding successes in the task ahead.
“No doubt, he achieved a lot, even, in acting capacity. We are, indeed, confident that LAUTECH will be greater under him as he pilots the Institution’s affairs in full capacity.
“I wish him good health, sound mind, long life, peace, joy, resounding achievements, among others,” Adepoju said.
