LAUTECH Alumni congratulates Engr. Sikiru Owonikoko over nomination as Abuja Rotary Club District Governor

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Alumni Association has felicitated one of its alumni, Engr. Sikiru Adetona Owonikoko, over his nomination as District Governor of Rotary Club International, Abuja Garki Neighbourhood (District 9127) 2026 – 2027..
Owonikoko’s unwavering commitment to humanity and his profession, according to the association, is highly commendable.
The global President of the alumni association, Engr. Olalekan Badmus, speaking through the global Public Relations Officer, Dr. Obasanjo Babalola, expressed confidence that Engr. Owoniklko would not leave any stone unturned in contributing his quota towards the development of the Rotary Club.
Engr. Badmus, Executive Director at the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and former Commissioner in Osun State, in the statement, said, “The news of our very distinguished alumnus, Engr. Sakiru Adetona Owonikoko, did not come as a surprise because of unwavering commitment to his profession and humanity at large.
“On behalf of LAUTECH Alumni Assocation, the global executives, chapter executives, members of our great association, I felicutate Engr. Sikiru Adetona Owonikoko as our good ambassador, having been nominated as Rotary Club Abuja Garki District Governor, 2026 – 2027.
“I, therefore, wish to express our sincere congratulations to Engr. Owonikoko and the Rotary Club which he meritoriously served in different capacities.
