In an age where selflessness often takes a back seat to self-promotion, few lives stand out as brightly as that of Prince Tunde Aremu, popularly known as Irorun Agbe. As he turns 60, it is not just the number of his years that commands celebration, but the depth of his impact on individuals, communities, and the nation at large.
Prince Aremu hails from Ikoyi-Odan in the Ogbomoso and Ikoyi axes of Oyo State, a region known for its rich cultural heritage and strong communal values. From these roots, he has grown into a big figure whose influence extends beyond the boundaries of his origin. As Chairman of Irorun Agbe Farm Booster, he has built not just a business but a movement—one that is centered on empowerment, growth, and collective well-being.
His nickname, Irorun Agbe (loosely translated as “the comfort of the farmer”), is more than a moniker; it encapsulates his life’s mission. Through his agribusiness ventures, he has boosted local economies, empowered smallholder farmers, and championed food security in rural communities. But his contributions go far beyond agriculture.
Prince Tunde Aremu is a philanthropist in the truest sense of the word. He has become a pillar of support for the vulnerable, the marginalized, and the striving. It is on record that he has gifted over 90 Bajaj motorcycles to young people across Ogbomoso—an initiative aimed at enabling income generation through commercial transport. He has also distributed refrigerators, generators, sewing machines, hair dryers, and other essential tools that have helped countless individuals kickstart their businesses and support their families.
These acts of generosity are not gestures for show, but rather expressions of a deeply held belief: that true leadership lies in lifting others. Prince Aremu does not discriminate in his outreach—he has brought smiles to the faces of the poor and the privileged alike, reinforcing the idea that compassion is a universal currency.
In today’s Nigeria, where economic hardship and social disillusionment are daily realities, the importance of community-driven development and personal empowerment cannot be overstated. Prince Aremu’s efforts align perfectly with this need. He exemplifies what it means to be a leader rooted in the people—a leader who invests not in fleeting applause, but in lasting transformation.
As he celebrates 60 years on Earth, Prince Tunde Aremu’s life reminds us that greatness is not measured by wealth or titles, but by the number of lives touched, the communities uplifted, and the hope restored.
In celebrating him, we also celebrate the values he embodies: humility, generosity, service, and vision. May his 60th birthday mark the beginning of yet another chapter of impact and inspiration.
Happy birthday, Prince Tunde Aremu Irorun Agbe, the pride of Ikoyi-Odan, Ikoyi, Ogbomoso, and beyond.
