
The fifth-year memorial of the passing of the late Sir Oloye Ademola Dare-Williams, KJW, and Baba Ewe of the Methodist Church Cathedral, Aromole, Ogbomoso, will be commemorated tomorrow, Friday, August 1, 2025.
Oloye Dare-Williams, who died five years ago exactly August 1, 2020, was the second President of the Ogbomoso First Community Initiative (O’First Group), coming after Otunba Bayo Babatunde.
The remembrance event is scheduled to take place at his residence in Oke Aafin GRA, Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
According to the family, the day will be marked with prayers and a solemn benediction at his tomb, in loving memory of a man described as a devoted husband, caring father, cherished grandfather, and a pillar of strength to all who knew him.
In a statement, the family expressed their enduring pride in Sir Dare-Williams’ legacy of love, humility, kindness, and warmth.
They praised his life of integrity, commitment to family, and selfless service, noting that his virtues continue to guide and inspire them.
“Though he is no longer physically with us, we are consoled by the indelible mark he left on our hearts and lives. His spirit lives on, and his memory remains a source of strength to the family he left behind,” the statement read.
They prayed for the continued peaceful repose of his soul and affirmed that his memory will forever be a blessing.
Late Sir Oloye Ademola Dare-Williams is fondly remembered by his beloved wife, Mrs. Dáre Janet Abíódún; his children — Surveyor Dare-Williams Oládiméjì, MNIS; Engineer Dare-Williams Adédàmólá, MNSE; Dare-Williams Yéwándé; and Dare-Williams Adédòtun — as well as his grandchildren: Dare-Williams Adébáyò, Dare Adésewà Esther, Dare-Williams Adémólá Ayòbámi Babatúndé, and Dare Adémilóyè David.
