Hon. Tosin Larry Adegun: Entreprenepur, community builder, and grassroots development advocate vying for Ogbo North State Constitiency

Hon. Tosin Olanrewaju Adegun (popularly known as Larry Lo kan) is an accomplished entrepreneur, community builder, and grassroots development advocate from Ogbomoso North Local Government Area, Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Nigeria.

A true son of Onisa Laalu Compound, Aguodo Area of Ogbomoso, Hon. Adegun was born into the family of Engr. Ezekiel Segun Adegun, JP, and Mrs. Oluwatoyin Afolake Adegun.

His father, a seasoned engineer of high repute, began his career by teaching briefly at Ogbomoso High School, Ogbomoso before joining the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission. He served diligently as Assistant Director of Works in Oriire Local Government Area and subsequently worked in Saki, Surulere, Ido, and Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Areas of Oyo State. His Father, Engr. Ezekiel Segun Adegun, JP, retired meritoriously from the Oyo State Public Service in 2017 while serving in Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area.

The Young Larry was educated at the popular Maryland Catholic Primary School, GOMAL Baptist College and Ayegun Baptist Church College all in Ogbomoso for his primary and secondary school education.

Hon. Tosin Olanrewaju Adegun’s values of hard work, service, and community were shaped during his formative years at GOMAL and Ayegun Baptist Church Colleges. He furthered his education at the University of Abuja, where he strengthened his leadership capacity and passion for development-driven governance. He studied Law at the University of Abuja, Abuja; he studied BSc. Marketing at Torrens University, Australia. Interestingly, he also studied another BSc. Nursing at Nurse Training Austrialia.

He has an avalanche of business lines called “Tolax” (tolax.com.au) and a marketing platform in Nigeria and around the world.

He is widely recognised for his strong commitment to economic empowerment, job creation, and sustainable community development. Through his diverse business ventures across Oyo State, Hon. Adegun has created employment opportunities for over 250 people, reflecting his belief that entrepreneurship should directly transform lives.

Notably, he established a fully operational vegetable oil production line, providing stable livelihoods for numerous families and contributing to local industrial growth.

In addition to his business, he is the founder of Tolax Foundation, a non-governmental organisation, dedicated to empowerment, welfare, and community support programmes in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area and beyond with a mission to uplift lives, foster unity, and promote inclusive growth.

Through the foundation, Hon. Tosin Olanrewaju Adegun has fed over 3000 people so far; organised eye checkups for the elderly and aged population; paid school fees and WAEC fees of indigent students; paid hospital bills for about 40 people who gave birth; donated a car to support a family.

Tosin Olanrewaju Adegun (Larry Lo Kan) is an aspirant contesting for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ogbomoso North State Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He envisions accountable, inclusive, and people-oriented representation anchored on tangible development.

With his background in entrepreneurship and community development, he brings a results-driven approach, practical solutions, and unwavering integrity to public service, committed to positioning Ogbomoso North at the forefront of progress in Oyo State.
