The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has congratulated the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, describing him as a symbol of professionalism and excellence in public communication.
In a statement by the President and Chairman of Council of the Institute, Dr. Ike Neliaku, the NIPR lauded the Minister as “an icon of reputation” and a role model for practitioners and aspiring professionals in the field of public relations.
The Institute noted that Idris’ rise to the position of the nation’s spokesperson reflects dedication, intentionality, and a strong commitment to service, anchored on professionalism and adequate preparation.
“As a proud Fellow of our great Institute, the Hon. Minister has consistently upheld the standards and ethics of the public relations profession, standing today as a shining example of responsible communication,” the statement read.
The NIPR further commended the Minister’s performance since assuming office, highlighting his diligence, calm disposition, and competence in managing public communication, which it said has added significant value to the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to the institute, Alh. Idris has demonstrated courage, capacity, and boldness in applying the principles of public relations in the discharge of his duties, particularly during challenging periods.
While celebrating the milestone with the Minister, the NIPR also prayed for continued wisdom and grace for him as he continues to promote professionalism and excellence in service.
Idris clocks 60 amid widespread commendations from professional bodies and stakeholders across the country.
