The Women in Technical Education and Development (WITED), Federal Polytechnic Ayede Chapter has visited Kersey Children’s Home, where it donated food items and other gift items to the children.
The Coordinator of WITED, Dr. Mrs. Halimat Amuda, led other members of the executive body on the visit to interact and present the gift items.
Presenting the items, Dr. Amuda said, “On behalf of our Chairman and Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Dr. Isiaka Tunji Adelabu, the WITED executives and members, we are presenting these gift items to you as a token of our love and support.”
Dr. Amuda also expressed delight at the aspirations of the children, noting that many of them had dreams of becoming engineers, doctors, teachers, pilots and professionals in other fields.
She encouraged the children to remain focused and committed to their education, assuring them that their dreams could be achieved through determination, hard work and perseverance.
Also speaking, Mrs. Victoria Olowoselu and other members of the WITED executive charged the children to remain focused in their endeavours and work hard towards attaining the pinnacle of success in life.
Other members of the WITED executive who accompanied the coordinator on the visit were the General Secretary, Miss Ayomi Alaanu; Assistant General Secretary, Dr. Mrs. R. F. Oyedemi; Treasurer, Mrs. Victoria Olowoselu; Public Relations Officer, Engr. Mrs. O. M. Ajayi; Welfare Secretary, Miss Joy Jeremiah; and Internal Auditor, Mrs. R. O. Adebisi.
