The Management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, took delivery of one of the University’s flagship projects, the LAUTECH Radio House, following the completion of the first phase of the project by the contractors.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management and Operations), Professor Tunde Ogunkunle, received the keys to the facility on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, from Engr. Musa Abiodun, head of the firm that handled the initial phase of the project.
Professor Ogunkunle was conducted round the facility alongside the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Development and Partnerships), Professor Lukman Sunmonu; Director, Physical Planning Unit, Professor Adedayo Adegbola; Acting Director of Internal Audit, Mr Olaide Gazal (FCA); Director of Procurement, Mr Taiwo Olajide; and other members of staff of the University.
Speaking during the occasion, Professor Ogunkunle said: “We want to congratulate the University on this unparalleled achievement, an achievement that has been ingrained into the information system of the community. I want to congratulate us all for being partakers in this achievement.
“I also want to commend the contractor for his patience and for having a large heart; he joyfully received our complaints and kept his promise to carry out necessary adjustments.”
In his remarks, Engr. Musa Abiodun explained that modifications had been made in areas identified by the Vice-Chancellor and other members of the Management during previous inspection visits to the project site.
