The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has inaugurated the newly elected 10-member Executive Council of the LAUTECH Students’ Union Government (LSUG).
The inauguration ceremony, held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, saw the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. J. A. Adepoju, formally present the newly elected Students’ Union executives.
The new Executive Council is headed by Mubarak Famakin as President, with Esther Lawalson serving as Vice President I and Sobur Ajibola as Vice President II.
Other members of the council are Mahfus Ashafa, General Secretary; Okikijesu Omotosho, Assistant General Secretary; Jesutosin Isola, Financial Secretary; Abdul Rahmon Afolabi, Welfare Director; Nasirudeen Oyetoro, Public Relations Officer; Faruq Semi, Social Director; and Abdul Semiu Mikail, Sports Director.
Speaking at the ceremony, Adepoju congratulated the newly inaugurated executives and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by the students.
He charged them to serve diligently and in the best interest of the university, while representing LAUTECH positively in their activities.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Mr. Biliaminu Al-Amin Adesina, congratulated the executives and urged them to discharge their responsibilities diligently and in accordance with the demands of their respective offices.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs I, Dr. O. A. Adebimpe; Deputy Dean of Student Affairs II, Dr. M. O. Ajadi; members of the Electoral Committee and other university stakeholders.
The inauguration marks the formal commencement of the administration of the newly elected LAUTECH Students’ Union Government.
