The Executive Chairman of Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Muritala Abiodun Oyewumi, popularly known as Natural, has felicitated Nigerians, particularly the people of Iwajowa, on the occasion of the nation’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
In a personally signed statement, Oyewumi described the anniversary as an opportunity to reflect on Nigeria’s journey and renew the collective commitment to building a peaceful, united and prosperous nation.
The council chairman saluted the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde; his Deputy, Barrister Bayo Lawal; members of the State Executive Council; his mentor and leader, Barrister Adeniyi Farinto; and the traditional council of Iwajowa Local Government, led by the Sabiganna of Iganna, His Royal Majesty, Oba Oyemonla Azeez Saliu, for their leadership and contributions to the development of the state and the local government.
He assured the people of Iwajowa of his administration’s continued focus on inclusive governance, grassroots development and programmes that improve the wellbeing and livelihood of residents.
Oyewumi urged Nigerians to embrace unity, patriotism and peaceful coexistence, stressing that building the Nigeria of their dreams requires the collective efforts of government and citizens.
“We must continue to work together, support one another and contribute our quota to the development of our communities and our nation. Together, we can build a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.”
He prayed for continued peace, progress and prosperity in Iwajowa, Oyo State and Nigeria, wishing all Nigerians a happy 66th Independence Anniversary.
