Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State, on Monday rolled out the drums to welcome its newly appointed substantive Registrar and Bursar, Mr. Akinlolu Akinpade and Mr. Mufutau Alao, respectively, as they officially resumed duties at the institution.
The appointments of the two principal officers were approved by the Governing Council of the Polytechnic, chaired by Hon. Yakubu Dati, following the directive of the Federal Ministry of Education.

The new Registrar and Bursar arrived at the institution in the company of family members, colleagues, friends and well-wishers, who joined in celebrating their assumption of office.
Among those who accompanied them were the Registrar and Bursar of Federal Polytechnic Ede, Alhaji Rafiu Ayantoye and Alhaja Shade Aishat Adebayo, respectively.
Receiving the new appointees, the acting Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Engr. Dr. Temilola Morufat Adepoju, expressed delight at their arrival and formally presented them with their letters of appointment.
Dr. Adepoju described their appointments as a significant milestone in the continued growth and development of the institution.
She also expressed appreciation for the support, guidance and mentorship she received during her professional journey from Federal Polytechnic Ede to her current position as Acting Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede.
Parts of the events were special prayers offered by both staffs of Federal Polytechnic Ayede abd Federal Polytechnic Ede in both Christian and Islamic ways at all the Offices of the Rector, Registrar, Bursar and Polytechnic Librarian.
The prayers also focused on the progress of the Federal Polytechnic Ayede.

As part of activities marking their assumption of office, the acting Rector led the new Principal Officers officers and members of the Polytechnic management on courtesy visits to traditional rulers in the host communities. The delegation first visited the palace of the Aresa-Pupa of Iresa-Pupa, Oba Moses Olayiwola Ajiboye III, before proceeding to the palace of the Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III.
Speaking on behalf of the Soun of Ogbomosoland, the Aare-Ago of Ogbomoso, High Chief Samuel Sobalaje Otolorin, commended the remarkable achievements of Federal Polytechnic Ayede and praised its management for their commitment to the institution’s development and advancement.
He described Ogbomoso as a peaceful and hospitable town that welcomes people from diverse backgrounds, noting that the Polytechnic has become a valuable asset to the community and neighbouring towns.
He further urged members of the Polytechnic management to continue working harmoniously and maintaining cordial relationships in order to sustain the institution’s growth and success.
In his vote of thanks at Soun’s palace, the acting Director of the Centre for Information, Communication and Public Relations, Mr. Sunday Adepoju, expressed appreciation to the monarchs and palace chiefs for their warm reception, support and goodwill towards the Polytechnic.
The visits highlighted the institution’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with host communities and traditional institutions as it continues its pursuit of academic excellence and institutional development.
