A member of the Akeem Amosun Political Movement, Fatai Adiyeloja, has stressed the importance of absolute loyalty in politics, declaring that commitment to a political leader and a cause must be total.
Adiyeloja made the assertion while speaking with other members of the movement at AK City, the official residence of Hon. Akeem Akintayo Amosun, where he highlighted loyalty, trust and dedication as essential ingredients for building a strong political structure.
“In politics, 99.99 per cent loyalty is not enough; it must be 100 per cent,” he said, stressing that genuine loyalty should not be determined by favourable circumstances alone but must also stand firm in times of difficulty.
According to him, loyalty is a critical virtue in political relationships because it promotes unity, strengthens mutual confidence and sustains the bond between a leader and his followers. He maintained that those who identify with a political leader must demonstrate sincerity and remain committed to the leader’s vision and the collective aspirations of the movement.
Adiyeloja, however, noted that political loyalty goes beyond verbal declarations and public displays of support, explaining that it is reflected in consistency, discipline, honesty and meaningful contributions to the growth of a political organisation.
He urged members and supporters of the Akeem Amosun Political Movement to uphold what he described as 100 per cent loyalty, while avoiding actions and tendencies capable of creating division or weakening the relationship between the leadership and members at the grassroots.
He added that a strong political movement is built not merely on the number of people around a leader but on the sincerity of their commitment and their willingness to work together towards a common goal.
Adiyeloja called on members to make loyalty, trust and consistency guiding principles of their political engagement, maintaining that these values are essential to sustaining enduring relationships and achieving the movement’s objectives.
