Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State is set to hold her 17th Convocation and 35th Founders’ Day ceremonies.
LAUTECH, the best state university in Nigeria, fixed the events marking the milestones for April.
Information contained in the schedule of events by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rasaq Olatunde ROM Kalilu on behalf of the Governing Council, Senate and the University Comnunity, made available to newsmen by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Lekan Fadeyi, states that the events will commence from Tuesday, April 15 and end on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.
Speaking on behalf of Prof. Kaluku, Mr. Fadeyi said, “Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, reputed for her giant strides, is pleased to announce the beautifully packed events marking the her 17th Convocation and 35th Founders’ Day coming up this April.
“On Tuesday, April 15, press conference will be held at the Council Chamber beginning 9:00a.m; LAUTECH@35 Documentary at The Great Hall, 11:00a.m. to 12:00p.m and Commemorative Tree Planting at Anniversary Park, 12:30p.m. to 1:00p.m.
“On Wednesday, April 16, the will be Research Fair/Exhibition at The Great Hall Foyer, 10:00a.m. to 2:00p.m. and later at same venue by 2:00p.m., there will be Convocation Play and Cultural Performance.”
He said that Convocation Lecture holds on Thursday, April 17 at The Great Hall by 10:00a.m. to 12:50p.m. and Alumni Day at The Hall immediately, adding that there shall be Jumat Service (1:00p.m. – 2:30p.m.) on Friday, April 18 and Church Service (8:30a.m. – 10:30a.m.) on Sunday, April 20 at University Mosque amd University Chapel resectively.
“Tuesday, April 22 will be for the Award of First Degrees/Prizes holding at The Great Hall and Amphitheatre of the institution at 11:a.m.
“Wednesday, April 22, the grand finale will feature Award of Postgraduate Diplomas, Higher Degrees and Honourary Degrees,” Kalilu said.
