The Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, has appointed the Deputy Registrar of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Joseph Adebayo Fadeji, as its new Registrar.
Fadeji’s appointment takes effect on September 10, 2026, according to the letter signed by the Registrar and Secretary to the Governing Council, Gabriel Adeyemi Awe, on Monday.
The statement said the appointment followed Fadeji’s performance during an interview conducted for candidates who applied for the position.
“Following your performance at the interview conducted for candidates applying for the position of Registrar in the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, I write to convey the approval of Governing Council of your appointment as the 4th Substantive Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, for a single term of five years.
“The appointment takes effect from 10th September, 2026. Your terms and conditions of appointment are as laid down in the Federal Polytechnics Amendment Act 2019 and as are obtainable in the other Federal Polytechnics in Nigeria.
“As a seasoned administrator, it is hoped that you will bring your wealth of experience to bear on the growth and development of our budding institution. Please accept my hearty congratulations,” the statement read.
Fadeji is expected to bring his wealth of administrative experience to bear on the growth and development of the institution, which is one of Nigeria’s emerging federal polytechnics.
He began his career at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, as an Administrative Officer II in 2001. Fadeji rose through the ranks and was appointed Deputy Registrar in June 2019, a position he held until his recent appointment as Registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji.
An indigene of Fiditi in Oyo State, Fadeji was born on October 8, 1969. The 56-year-old administrator began his academic and professional journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Education (English) from the University of Ilorin 1998, graduating with Second Class Upper Division honours.
Fadeji later obtained a Master of Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, in 2021. In the same year, he completed a Computer Appreciation Essentials programme.
He further advanced his academic qualifications with a Master of Science in Public Administration from Obafemi Awolowo University in 2024.
He has also completed the Advanced Digital Appreciation Programme for Tertiary Institutions and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy degree at Obafemi Awolowo University.
