The Federal Commissioner representing Ogun State at the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Hon. Akeem Akintayo Amosun, has been appointed Deputy Director for Ogun Central Senatorial District in the 74-member Campaign Council for the 2027 governorship bid of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.
The appointment is seen as a recognition of Amosun’s growing political influence, grassroots mobilisation capacity and commitment to the emergence of Senator Yayi as the next Governor of Ogun State.
His appointment to the strategic campaign council is also expected to strengthen grassroots mobilisation, stakeholder engagement and coordination of support for the Yayi governorship project across Ogun Central.
Amosun has remained active in the mobilisation and organisation of political structures across the state. In recent months, he has participated in and led strategic engagements involving coordinators and grassroots supporters in Abeokuta South and other parts of Ogun Central.
His political activities have focused on strengthening support for Senator Yayi while deepening engagement with party members, community leaders, youths and other stakeholders.
The RMAFC commissioner is also regarded as a grassroots-oriented politician and organiser, with his activities extending beyond political rallies to empowerment initiatives, educational interventions and support for vulnerable and elderly members of his political family.
Through regular grassroots meetings and direct engagement with supporters, Amosun has continued to build political structures aimed at sustaining support for the Yayi project.
With political activities ahead of the 2027 governorship election gathering momentum, his appointment is expected to further strengthen the campaign’s coordination and mobilisation machinery in Ogun Central as the team seeks broad-based support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola as Governor of Ogun State.
