Miss Ogbomoso 2026, Toluwase Christiana Adepoju, popularly known as Omidan Ajoke, has extended support to the families of the principal and teachers recently rescued from the abduction in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State by presenting food items as a token of love and solidarity.
Accompanied by members of her team, Omidan Ajoke, of Oginni Compound, Osupa Area, Ogbomoso, visited the homes of the rescued principal and teachers, including the family of Prof. and Mrs. Alamu.
Pan-Nigerian News reports that during the visits, each family received a 5kg bag of rice, while the Alamu family was also presented with an additional pack of spaghetti.
Speaking during the visits, the beauty queen explained that the gesture was aimed at welcoming the victims back home and reassuring them that the people of Ogbomoso share in their joy.
Omidan Ajoke said, “I visited the homes of all the teachers except one family we could not reach. I gave each family a 5kg bag of rice, while Mrs. Alamu also received an additional pack of spaghetti.
“The token may be small, but it came from a place of love. It is simply our way of saying, ‘Welcome home’. We are thankful to God..”
Omidan Ajoke also expressed her heartfelt condolences to the families of the two teachers who lost their lives during the unfortunate incident, praying that God would grant them the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
She noted that while the community celebrates the safe return of the rescued victims, it also mourns the painful loss of the dedicated teachers whose lives were cut short in the line of duty.
She commended the Federal Government, Oyo State Government and security agencies for their commitment and efforts that led to the safe release of the abducted principal, teachers and pupils.
“I want to thank the government and security agencies for their efforts in securing the release of our pupils and teachers. We plead for more protection around our schools so our children can learn without fear.
“Our teachers deserve to feel safe while serving. We are counting on you to ensure this never happens again. Ogbomoso is with you in building a safer community for all,” she said.
She also expressed sympathy to the affected families for the emotional ordeal they went through during the period of the abduction, urging them to continue supporting their loved ones as they recover from the traumatic experience.
“To the parents and families, I know these past days have been very hard. But God has been faithful. Your children and their teachers are home. We share in your pain, and we also share in your joy today. Please be patient with them as they heal. Ogbomoso loves you all,” she added.
The visited families appreciated the thoughtful gesture and described it as a demonstration of genuine compassion and unity from the Ogbomoso community.
