The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP), Federal Polytechnic Ayede Chapter, has successfully conducted a peaceful, free, and transparent election, resulting in the emergence of a new set of executive officers to steer the affairs of the association.
The election, which commenced at exactly 12:00 noon, was conducted in a peaceful atmosphere, with contestants, members, and electoral officers demonstrating a high level of cooperation and commitment throughout the exercise.
At the end of the voting, Alhaji Idris Kehinde was elected Chairman, while Mr. Onifade John Olalekan emerged as Vice Chairman.
Also elected were Architect Isola Moruf Olapade as General Secretary, Mr. Jimoh Adekunle as Assistant General Secretary, Miss Alaanu Titilayo as Treasurer, Mrs. Oyeniyi Modupeoluwa as Financial Secretary, Mr. Wasiu Abiola as Auditor, Mr. Jubrin Nasiru Adah as Public Relations Officer (PRO), and Mr. Oyeleke Peter Adewale as Trustee.
In her remarks after the election, the Acting Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Engr. Dr. (Mrs.) Temilola Morufat Adepoju, congratulated the newly elected executives and charged them to provide purposeful leadership by promoting unity, safeguarding the welfare of members, and contributing meaningfully to the continued growth and development of the institution.
She also encouraged contestants who were unsuccessful in the election not to regard themselves as losers but to support the newly elected officers, stressing that the progress of the association is a collective responsibility that requires the cooperation and commitment of all members.
