Fed Poly Ayede Engineering students embark on educational visit to Brave FM

Students of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology (ND I) and the Department of Computer Engineering Technology of Federal Polytechnic Ayede today embarked on an educational field trip to Brave 91,1 F, Igbo-Ile, Ogbomoso, Oyo Staye.
This is as part of efforts to enhance their practical knowledge of telecommunication engineering.
The excursion involved students offering EEE 126 (Telecommunicatinn II) from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology and CTE 245 – Telecommunication Engineering I from the Department of Computer Engineering.
The students were accompanied by staff, Mrs. Aderonke Olatilu and Mr. Taiwo Anifowose, who guided them throughout the visit.
Meanwhile, the management of Brave FM, represented by the General Manager, Ambassador Sanjo Saka (popularly called Felefele) has commended the management of the institution led by the acting Rector, Engr. Dr. Temilola Monrufat Adepoju, acting Dean of the School of Engineering Technology, Engr. Dr. Oluwafemi Jacob Ayangbekun and Heads as well as staff of the two Departments for believing in practical knowledge.
Amb. Saka warmly received the delegation and granted them access to the station’s facilities for the practical session.
Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Olatilu, like others, explained that the field trip was organised in line with the directive of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), which requires students studying telecommunication-related courses to visit radio stationd and other relevant communication facilities to complement classroom learning with practical experience.

During the tour, the students were exposed to the operations of a modern radio station, including broadcasting equipment, transmission systems, studio operations, and other telecommunication facilities. They also had the opportunity to interact with broadcast professionals, who explained the practical application of concepts taught in the classroom.
The students expressed appreciation to the management of Brave FM for the warm reception and the valuable learning experience, describing the visit as insightful and beneficial to their academic and professional development.
