The Khalifa of the Islamic Brotherhood of Nigeria (ISBON) and renowned philanthropist, Alhaji Lamidi Monsur Ayoade Ayinde Ejide, has congratulated Muslims across the world, Nigeria, Oyo State and Ogbomoso on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In a goodwill message, Alhaji Ejide called on the Muslim Ummah to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, love, tolerance and compassion which the festival symbolizes.
He stressed the need for religious harmony, peaceful coexistence, unity and continuous progress of the Islamic faith, urging adherents to emulate the exemplary lifestyle of Prophet Ibrahim through total submission to the will of Allah.
The ISBON Khalifa also charged Muslims to extend hands of fellowship to the needy, widows, orphans and other less-privileged members of society during and after the festive period.
According to him, Eid-el-Kabir should not only be a season of celebration, but also a period of reflection, generosity and renewed commitment to humanity.
Alhaji Ejide further called for intensified prayers for Nigeria, especially against the growing menace of banditry, kidnapping and other security challenges confronting several communities across the country.
He urged political leaders, security agencies, traditional rulers and religious stakeholders to work together towards restoring peace and safety in the nation.
“Muslims must continue to pray fervently for divine intervention in the affairs of Nigeria. We must also support one another and promote peace in our communities,” he said.
The philanthropist equally prayed for economic stability, national development and a more prosperous future for Nigerians, while wishing Muslims a peaceful and rewarding Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
