The presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has appointed Barrister Anthony Ehilebo as his Special Adviser on Media and Digital Communication ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a statement signed by Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, Special Adviser (Media) to the Governor of Oyo State, on Thursday.
According to the statement, Ehilebo’s appointment is aimed at strengthening the APM’s communication strategy as the party prepares to take its message to Nigerians ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Makinde described Ehilebo’s experience as a communication strategist and lawyer as a significant asset to the campaign, saying his expertise would help drive the party’s message of resetting Nigeria.
The governor also expressed confidence that the appointment would contribute to the APM’s efforts to secure victory in the 2027 presidential election.
Makinde urged Nigerians to rally behind the APM, describing the forthcoming election as a historic opportunity to change the country’s political direction.
He criticised the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), urging Nigerians to support the APM as an alternative political platform.
“With unity, courage, and determination, we will reclaim Nigeria’s destiny and deliver the future our people deserve,” Makinde said.
The governor’s media aide said further appointments to the APM presidential campaign team would be announced in due course.
