The demise of the immediate past Baale Osupa of Ogbomosoland, His Royal Highness, High Chief Samuel Oyeleye Aboyarin Ariori, remains a monumental loss to the entire Osupa community, home and in the Diaspora, and the entire Ogbomosoland.
High Chief Ariori, our late traditional ruler of inestimable value, was born to the family of Pa Oyekola Aboyarin of Ile Baale Osupa Ojodu and Late Madam Adedoja Aboyarin of Ile Bosunla on May 13, 1937 in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
Our great traditional ruler remained a source of inspiration to the entire Osupa community as a very and first literate Royal Father par excellence. He came with an avalanche of experiences in different areas of endeavour. Baba’s experiences covered many areas, including electrical engineering, aviation technology. He started his career at the Nigerian Railway Corporation and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Training Centre where he voluntarily retired in 1986.
The role of the five Baale Osupa Royal Families towards the peace and stability of the land could be underestimated. From Baale Osupa Oju-Oja to Olokuta, Aleshinloye, Ojodu and Gbadami, the untiring effort of the Chairman of the Five Families, Prince Oluwole Oladokun (Jajalo) is commendable.
After High Chief Oyeniyi of Baale Osupa Olokuta Royal Family transited, High Chief Ariori was installed as Baale Osupa by the immediate past Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III.
Baba was President of Grade ‘C’ Customary Court in Ogbomoso North Local Government Area of Oyo State. His relevant contributions to the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) were insightful and development-based.
I, hereby, offer my heart-felt condolences not only to the immediate family of our very highly revered Father, but also to the Ojodu Family, the entire Ruling Houses and Ogbomosoland in general.
….Prince Sunday Ayoola Oyebamiji is of Baale Osupa Oju-Oja extraction.
