NDC Reps Candidate in Ogbomoso, Dr. Kunle Adegbite, sends Democracy Day greetings

The House of Representatives candidate of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) for Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Dr. Kunle Samson Adegbite, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the 2026 Democracy Day celebration, urging citizens to remain committed to the ideals of freedom, justice, accountability and national development.
In a Democracy Day message personally signed by him, Adegbite, a renowned philanthropist and mental health specialist, described democracy as a symbol of the collective will of the people and a system that thrives on active citizen participation, good governance and respect for the rule of law.
He called on Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s democratic journey, honour the sacrifices of heroes who fought for democratic governance and renew their commitment to building a society where every citizen has the opportunity to succeed.
According to him, democracy goes beyond periodic elections, stressing that true leadership is anchored on service, sacrifice and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.
The NDC chieftain noted that the people of Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency are resilient, hardworking and visionary, expressing confidence that collective efforts would continue to drive development across the constituency.
Adegbite, who has consistently supported the needy, students, youths, widows and other vulnerable groups through various philanthropic interventions, emphasized the need for leaders and citizens alike to work together in promoting transparency, accountability and community development.
He urged residents of the constituency and Nigerians in general to remain steadfast in fostering peace, unity and mutual respect, adding that sustainable progress can only be achieved through harmony and collective responsibility.
“As we celebrate Democracy Day, may hope be renewed, may peace reign in our land, and may our collective efforts lead to a brighter and more prosperous future for generations to come,” he stated.
Adegbite also reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare and empowerment of the people, pledging to continue advocating policies and programmes that will improve the quality of life of constituents and promote inclusive development.
