Oriire 2026: APM chairmanship candidate, Omo Leader, intensifies leaders, stakeholders’ consultations, preaches unity

The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) chairmanship candidate for Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, Hon. Afeez Adigun Tijani, popularly known as Omo Leader, has continued his strategic consultations with prominent leaders and stakeholders of the party preparatory to the 2026 local government election.
Hon. Tijani held consultations with notable party leaders, including a former Commissioner for Finance, Hon. Johnson Adebayo Bankole; former two-term Executive Chairman of Oriire Local Government Area and former of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ezekiel Ajani Oyedepo; the APM Local Government Chairman, Hon. Olatunde Gabriel Oloya; and a former Women Leader, Madam Janet Lalonpe.
The consultations, according to the chairmanship candidate, formed part of his commitment to strengthening unity within the party, deepening grassroots mobilisation and building a broad-based team that will collectively work towards the continued progress and development of the LGA.
Omo Leader noted that meaningful development can only be achieved through collective responsibility, unity of purpose and the active participation of leaders, stakeholders and party faithful across the local government.
He stressed that his aspiration is not about an individual ambition but a collective movement aimed at bringing together experienced leaders, committed party members and the people of Oriire towards building a greater and more prosperous local government area.
Hon. Tijani further assured party stakeholders and supporters of his readiness to continue engaging critical leaders and groups in order to foster peace, unity and a shared vision within the Allied Peoples Movement.
As the 2026 Local Government election approaches, the APM Chairmanship Candidate maintained that the time has come for the people of Oriire to unite behind a common vision for sustainable development and inclusive leadership.
“The journey continues. The future is collective. Together, we are building a stronger foundation for a Greater Oriire. The time for a Greater Oriire is now,” Omo Leader declared.
