Prince Sunday Ayoola Oyebamiji of the Malegbe Ruling House of Osupa Royal Dynasty of Ogbomosoland stands out as a proud and passionate son of Osupa, whose life and aspirations are deeply rooted in the growth and progress of his people. As a prince of Osupa, he has continued to demonstrate uncommon commitment to the development of his community, paying personal sacrifices and investing time, energy, and resources to ensure that Osupa occupies its rightful place in Ogbomosoland.
A farmer and businessman, Prince Oyebamiji embodies the values of hard work, resilience, and self-reliance. His professional pursuits are not only a means of livelihood but also a platform through which he supports community development and empowers others. Through agriculture and enterprise, he has consistently advocated sustainable development as a pathway to economic growth at the grassroots.
Prince Oyebamiji is a staunch and unapologetic supporter of progress under the distinguished leadership of the Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III. He firmly believes in the royal father’s vision for a united, peaceful, and prosperous Ogbomosoland, and he aligns his personal efforts with this broader agenda of development and unity. Well-grounded in the history, culture, and dynamics of Osupa communities, Prince Oyebamiji maintains a close relationship with the people. He understands their challenges, aspirations, and potentials, and he relates with them at every level. According to him, he is always elated whenever he is in Osupa, describing the communities as not just his place of origin but the core of his identity and purpose. Driven by a strong sense of responsibility, Prince Oyebamiji has expressed his determination to leverage his wide network of connections to bring Osupa indigenes, both at home and in the diaspora, back to their roots. He believes that there is no better time than now to reconnect all Osupa sons and daughters to their homeland, stressing that collective effort is crucial for meaningful and sustainable development.
He has, therefore, called on indigenes to look back home and contribute to the growth of their communities, including its extensions such as Randa, Papa Alajiki, City, Papa Ajisihan, Papa Adeyemo, among others. According to him, development must be inclusive, touching every part of Osupa and ensuring that no community is left behind. This is because majority of the indigenes of Osupa have now extended to the abive-mentioned places.
Prince Oyebamiji also harbours a strong desire to unite all the ruling houses of Osupa and even extend such unity beyond Osupa, for the overall development of Ogbomosoland. He believes that unity, cooperation, and shared vision among traditional families and stakeholders will accelerate progress and strengthen the cultural and socio-economic foundations of the land.
In Prince Sunday Ayoola Oyebamiji, Osupa has a devoted son whose passion for unity, development, and cultural pride continues to inspire hope for a greater Osupa and a more prosperous Ogbomosoland.
